Unleashing the Power of ChatGPT: Introducing Code Interpreter for Streamlined Data Analysis

ChatGPT Launches Code Interpreter: What is it and how to leverage its benefits?

The new ChatGPT add-on, called Code Interpreter, is positioned as an efficient and advanced solution to streamline the work of data analysts.

ChatGPT has just gained the ability to run code with the launch of Code Interpreter. This plug-in enhances the popular chatbot with advanced functionalities related to data science. The release of this add-on was confirmed through an update on the OpenAI release notes page, where the company clarified that the benefit will be available to all ChatGPT Premium subscribers.

What is Code Interpreter, how to activate it, and what is it used for?

OpenAI defines Code Interpreter as a beta-phase add-on. It allows ChatGPT to execute code with optional access to user-uploaded files. The tool is capable of writing code in Python and working with files up to 500 MB. It is a useful resource for data visualization, analysis, and manipulation. With Code Interpreter, users can upload documents and provide prompts for the system to process information, extract (even raw) data, and deliver structured outputs such as maps, interactive HTML files, or charts. It can also convert images to text, extract color palettes from an image, perform mathematical operations (both quantitative and qualitative), or convert a GIF into a longer video. To use this new plug-in, it is a requirement to be a ChatGPT Plus subscriber. To activate it, simply log in and click on the username. From the menu, access the Settings section and choose the "Beta Features" option. Locate the "Code Interpreter" add-on in the list and activate it.

AI gains increasingly human-like abilities

The new ChatGPT add-on is positioned as an efficient and advanced solution to streamline the work of data analysts. However, it raises concerns about the potential displacement of these scientists in the future. "
